Auckland Softball Association announced the passing away of softball legend, Martha Rush (Yandall) yesterday.

Martha played most of her Softball at the NZ Samoa Society Club where they won two Club National titles with Martha as their catcher. She played for Auckland for 20 seasons and was captain in her last year.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Martha played in 10 NZ National teams. In 1969 she was NZ Player of the Year and won the Wendy Rowse Memorial Bat as Top batter at NZ Nationals. In 2001, Martha was inducted into the NZ Softball Hall of Fame. A truly memorable player.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
