Position Description

Wellington Softball Association (WSA) is the regional body responsible for promoting, developing and fostering softball in the Wellington region. WSA also delivers the local competition and representative programmes, as well as hosting regional tournaments. The Wellington region, as set out by Softball NZ, extends from the Eastern/Southern Suburbs of Wellington to the Kapiti Coast. Softball is a small sporting code that has a long and proud history of punching above its weight. We are a small board that is looking to increase its capability for the good of the sport. We are looking for people who are forward-thinking and proactive. This is not a pure governance role and you need to be the type of person who is willing to take ownership of projects or head up sub-committees.

Ideal Applicant

Experience within governance and leadership positions- Strategic ability and stakeholder focus- Financial, commercial and business acumen- Commitment to a whole of softball approach- Expertise in marketing and promotions- Experience with sport development- Te Reo me ona Tikanga knowledge
